World Series

Is anyone on here into baseball and watching this?
I tried watching a few games years ago but really couldn't get into it, but all the people on twitter I follow for NFL updates have all been going on about it recently so thought I'd try it again.
Looks really exciting in the 10 minute highlight packages I've been watching but struggle to watch a full game mainly because I don't really know what's going on.
I've got Monday & Tuesday off work next week so will be attempting to try and watch a full game or 2.

Very hit and miss for me, as some games seem to literally have no excitement or runs.
No doubt a lot of their fans would say exactly the same about football where they'd obviously be correct.
Only seen a few games though.

Yeah I like baseball.
Fingers crossed the Dodgers beat those cunts. But I doubt they will.

Love NFL and NHL.... not too keen on Baseball or Basketball.
However, going to LA and Vegas and hope to watch the LA Lakers.
When the Red Sox come to the OS, I'll go and watch the game. See if I can get into it.

I like it. We used to go to watch the Dodgers when I lived in LA as a kid. I'm hoping they win this, but it will be very difficult. I stuck a £5 free bet on the Dodgers winning the World Series and Rams the Superbowl as well. Here's hoping.

Yeah, love the game, my team the Twins win the World Series twice while I was living there, they had Kirby Puckett one of the best baseball players, playing for them

I'm a big baseball fan.
As a Yankees fan, this is probably the worst WS match up possible. Red Sox look to have won the first game easily.

I've always said that if I had a team it would be the Red Sox, as all the Patriots reporters I follow are tweeting about them,
I claim to follow all 4 boston teams and have been tracking their results throughout the year but never really gave a shit until the playoffs and the games against the Yankees.

I don't follow it but it's the American sport I like the most. Seems more traditional and less razzmatazz than the others. Went to watch a couple of matches when on holiday years ago and really enjoyed it.

Would definitely like to go to a game at some point, I imagine it's like a day at the cricket where everyone just gets pissed and the sport is kind of secondary until something exciting happens.

I've posted this before, but just to repeat because it was such a brilliant sporting experience, I was at this game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWK_AAHX2ow

If you don't know why it's called The World Series perhaps you would be better advised to quickly find out rather than making yourself look a spastic on here by laughing at the name.

The game has had some right characters, people like Lenny (Nails) Dykstra, who at the plate is chewing tobacco with it dribbling down his chin while he smashes one over the fence, managers like Lou Piniella who is the best exponent of kicking dirt at the umpire, then you have pitchers like Randy Johnson, who was an absolute freak of nature
Love the game

I watched the first inning last night then lost the battle for the television. Praying for a Dodgers win here against the vile Red Sox, the Liverpool of MLB.
